Tottenham set to offer Christian Eriksen £200,000 weekly wage

The Daily Mail believes that Christian Eriksen will be offered a new contract in which he will double his salary. Eriksen has publicly stated his desire to leave and seek a new challenge, and have a new experience. The only problem is that nobody has indicated strong interest in Eriksen.

Last summer Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was demanding 130 million for the Danish star. This put off any prospective buyers.

It was widely speculated that he was a target of Real Madrid. The appointment of Zinedin Zidane seems to have ended that idea.

The problem is that he now enters the last 12 months of his contract with Tottenham. Spurs now run the risk of Eriksen leaving as a free agent next summer.

His current contract earns him a £80,000 weekly wage. The proposal from Spurs is a new contract where he will see his salary go as high as £200,000 a week.

  4. if I were him I will leave as a free agent so that I can getter salary package in the next club I go.

  5. Great player

  6. I think he will just see out his contract now for a massive sign on fee elsewhere.

  7. They are scared he might leave as a free agent.

  8. I keep wondering why Spurs players accept wages way below their individual market value. Eriksen should have been on 200,000 4-5 years ago. Look at the other clubs.

  9. Brother Christian leave Tottenham you deserve a bigger team that can win trophies. But don’t go to Arsenal o

  10. Replacing Eriksen would cost 100m for a player as good so it makes sense to get him to sign a new contract with a buy out clause. Failure by Eriksen to sign a new contract could cost him 100m if he was to pick up a career ending injury. He should give that some thought.
